The time has come! The time has come! That’s right! Another edition of Fashion Queue, yes I know we all had a good summer but sadly it’s time to let go of that summer bummer and embrace a new one! A new Season is amongst us, which means cold weather, rain, and Fashion of the most creative witches, wizards, and wixens! So for those having summertime sadness let me wipe that away!
For this issue, we have one of my favourites…
And before you say anything no I didn’t choose her first because she is family… I did it because I forced her to and I was too lazy to find someone nor walk up to anyone! But hey, at least I got someone for you ~
Anyways! Let me introduce you to Slytherin’s very own Aiyana Peyroux-Dubois (Fifth Year)!
Who said a little rain had to ruin an amazing luck?
Aiyana clearly is introducing us to the plated skater skirt, during my summer break I have noticed a lot of /trendy/ muggle girls wearing skirts like this either as a uniform piece or just a casual look and I will have to say it’s my favourite piece of this look. She pairs it with an appropriate half-jumper and a white button-up, tied together with a house tie (Get it /tied together?/ maybe I should start a joke column of the owl post!). You can tell she cares so much about an approved uniform she completes the look with black tights, wool socks, and shined loafers we love to see it! And to put the cherry on top a ~ canvas backpack, I’m to the point of stealing this entire look because I am in love with it ~ Good job prima!
Now this one was a bit of luck and I will say I’m proud of myself for the shot!
We were interrupted by one of those horse thingies I forgot the name of. But! Back to the outfit, once again no rain will stop this shoot. Aiyana starts her outfit off with a simple but very outspoke lazy crochet sweater, pairing it with a nice stretched material skirt (Focus forgive me, the lighting today was horrific due to the rain and mix of dark clouds and sunshine, so picture her skirt doesn’t blend in!), she adds a nice pair of leggings that I believe she stole from me, but I will allow it since she is family, and a pair of muggle Yves Saint Laurent chained boot.
If I had to score both looks…I would give her at least a 10/10 (Not because she is family once again) there is a small group of people in this school whose style I can actually appreciate.
Now, this is a section I like to ask my models a bit about themselves to share with Fashion Queue, so here is what I got from her!:
Aiyana’s favourite subject at Hogwarts is potions. She can be found sometimes mixing her own potions in her dorm or out gathering ingredients. Every trip to Hogsmeade she makes sure to stop at Goode’s Potions Supplies to stock up on any ingredients she might be low on.
Although one wouldn’t think so, Aiyana has a soft spot for Magical Creatures and it seems they like her too. When she is out looking for potion ingredients, she packs some treats in her bag for any creatures she might stumble across along the way.
While she won’t admit it outright, she is a perfectionist. Tough expectations from both sides of her family she has grown up to learn that failure really isn’t an option. She goes the extra mile to make sure she has top marks in every class and spends countless hours studying and practicing to avoid failure in front of anyone else. If she does fail, she can get fairly frustrated and irritable.
(And she is single)
