Missing!
Swedish Celebrity Missing from Home. Family in Panic.
An unusual article was run in a variety of Scandinavian papers this week regarding a well known almost-celebrity. It appears the father of Durmstrang’s Triwizard Tournament Second Champion has put out a call for anyone who sees his son to alert the Swedish Ministry of Magic immediately.
“My only son, Gabriel, is missing. There were signs of a struggle at his residence leaving both myself and his mother concerned. I ask that if anyone knows where he is, or sees him, that they please tell me or the Ministry of Magic. Please, I implore you to do this for my family. Help me so that I can bring my boy home.” -Vincent Engström, Translated from Swedish
Gabriel Engström served as Durmstrang’s Triwizard Tournament Second Champion last year, during the tournament’s revival. Though he was never called on for participation in the tasks, he did enjoy some level of fame as Durmstrang’s reputedly more desirable Champion. Engström is around 19 years old with pale skin, dark hair, and green eyes. He has Runic tattoos covering his arms and chest, and keeps his hair short. Engström has been working with the Swedish Ministry towards a career as an Auror since graduation. He is fluent in Swedish, Danish, English, German, and Dutch though he can also speak some level of Norwegian..
If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact Mister Engström or the Swedish Ministry of Magic.
Duel Britannia
Seems like we have a lot to talk about this week so let’s get started. The season’s officially underway but as usual we’ll wait a few weeks while a ranking sorts itself out. What’s most interesting is that it seems in light of the changes we spoke about last, we do have a few actual club changes.
Over in the Mandrakes, we have Annabel Lawson back from her time off. Seems that rather than adapt their lineup around her they’ve decided to terminate the contract of her fill-in, Bonnie Nishi. Now at first, I was wondering what was going on here but then I got wind that after her performance last season it wasn’t long before she was picked up by the Holyhead Banshees. Wonder if that’s going to come back to bite Manchester in the rear, eh?
Speaking of Holyhead, it seems our Banshees and Harpies have a surprise in store for all the fans and athletes out there. Word is, they’ve opened a training centre in Godric’s Hollow. From my understanding the second floor is exclusive to club members but the bottom is available to the public. No word on what it’s going to cost for membership. And speaking of cost, I’m being told that there’s some type of summer work experience in the works for the Department of Games and Sports, but that’s all the details I have so far.
Dementor Woes Continue
Despite the ongoing rumours of Dementors roaming Hogsmeade, the Ministry of Magic has not confirmed any sightings however there is a continued presence of the Department for the Regulation of Magical Creatures throughout the village leaving many visitors struggling to find room and board.
