Attention all Hogwarts students!
On behalf of an anonymous donor, we are excited to announce a special scholarship available for one or two deserving students from any year group who come from a deprived background.

Applicants are required to submit a cover letter explaining why they believe they deserve this scholarship.
Please note, this scholarship is not based on academic merit but is intended to support those facing socioeconomic challenges, recognising that such students statistically are more likely to have decreased educational success.

Godric’s Hollow Arts Festival
The sleepy village of Godric’s Hollow has been enlivened with a celebration of talent and enchantment as it plays host to its first ever Arts Festival this weekend. Stellara Wingstad, Mayor of Godric’s Hollow, opened the Festival with a sparkling reception of champagne, nibbles, and celebrity mingling at Godric’s Manor Bed & Breakfast. The manor is the only hospitality business in Great Britain operated entirely by free house elves, who made fantastic work of preparing fresh oysters, baked treats, and pumpkin mocktails. Visitors to the festival are invited to explore a range of artists stalls, gourmet food vendors, and artistic events.
The weekend has already seen much talent take to the stage. Noted artist Aisling Colquhoun led a leisurely beginner’s session in magical painting, followed by an energetic concert of jazz and popular music from pianist Sébastian Roumieux Tournadre. Rumour has that the Belgian’s first album “Enchanted Echoes” will be released this weekend! And he’s not the only music talent; there is also much talk about the Majestic Wombats’ new album, Obscurus Alchemy. For those with more classical tastes, first-class pianist Emily Neutron will lead a Sunday afternoon piano recital.
The Godric’s Hollow Arts Festival runs until Monday afternoon, closing with a torchlight parade and Beach BBQ. Be sure to take the opportunity to explore the artistic side of our world, and support our talented variety of artists, musicians, and caterers!
Flutterby Bloom Theft Update: Reward Offered
The investigation into the unprecedented theft of a large proportion of Flutterby bushes from one of the few farms cultivating them is still ongoing. Despite the dedicated efforts of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, the stolen bushes remain undiscovered, and no suspects have been apprehended thus far. The magical community is facing significant challenges as a result of this heist.
In the weeks following the theft, the market has seen notable inflation in certain magical goods. The Flutterby bushes, known for their delicate, fluttering leaves and extensive use in both the confectionery and potions industries, are now in critically short supply. Confectioners and potion makers alike are struggling to meet production demands, causing widespread concern about the availability of their products.
The Department of Magical Law Enforcement has increased their efforts to solve this case and is now offering a substantial reward for any information leading to the arrest of those responsible and the recovery of the stolen bushes. They urge anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
The shortage of Flutterby blooms has had a ripple effect across the magical economy, highlighting the bushes’ crucial role and the need for enhanced security measures to protect such valuable resources. The magical community remains anxious, awaiting further developments in this unfolding story.
Camp Pinket Coming Soon
Are you all packed? The thrills and excitement of Camp is just around the corner, waiting for you to dive in and make a splash! Following on the heels of the Arts Festival, Godric’s Hollow is also playing home to the return of the well loved Camp Pinket. It is promising to be packed full of activities and new experiences for all with a filled two week calendar.
With a warmer and more authentic feel Camp Pinket is returning to its roots, including more traditional style tents and campfires, and a much more outdoorsy feel. But it does not stop there. There are whispers that this summer Camp Pinket is opening its doors to a select number of businesses, giving them the opportunity to host special meals for the Campers.
But of course, camp is much more than the tents and meals. On top of daily activities, challenges and awards, a talent show is finally joining the roster of treasured events at Camp Pinket where anyone who believes they have what it takes can take part and show off their stuff! Another new addition that Campers should expect to prepare for as they pack for camp are unique Theme Days where, for that day, the camp and its campers get to dress up and show more of their creativity!
And let’s not forget a camp favourite, the End of Camp Dance that will bring an amazing two weeks to a close and the special awards that come with it. Overall it is going to be a very busy time at camp this summer and with a week to go, the clock is counting down to that most hectic but anticipated day: Arrival!
Ghouls in Godric’s
Despite extensive efforts, the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures has not been successful in removing the poltergeist that is currently residing in The Beehive Stores.
The local corner shop has been out of commission for muggles, and wixen not brave enough to face the wrath of the ghoulish resident, with the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes having to visit weekly to reinforce the muggle repelling charms on the area.
Jackson Wallace, Head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, reports that his team has a plan in place and urges residents to be alert to any developments announced by the department. However, if The Daily Prophet’s sources are to be believed, Mr Wallace is currently out of the country and not investigating this paranormal presence with the due diligence the local residents are expecting.
