Despite the sudden downpour of rain, nothing could dampen the spirits of this reporter when given the opportunity to interview one of her closest friends for you, dear readers of Witch Weekly. The downpour, however, did dampen the stunning off-white dress of Saffron Macauley, your writer for this edition of “An Interview With.”
Cutting a fine figure in a well tailored, yet effortlessly casual coat, Adam Fletcher stands amongst the rubble and smoke in, what is left of, Hogsmeade Village, mucking in with the rest of the wizarding community. His sudden reappearance during the fundraising effort did not go unnoticed as his popularity appears not to have been diminished by almost a year away in France.
From success after success with the Falmouth Falcons, Adam made the decision to move to the French league. A smaller league to work his way through, and an even smaller populace who would have heard of his well publicised heartbreak. Playing for the Agincourt Axes, Adam found a new love; France. But despite the good playing season, amazing food, and the veela fans, Adam told this reporter the one thing he missed;
“I think I miss home.”
With that in mind your charming reporter posed the question of his return to the UK when the transfer window opens. Yes your reporter is not just a pretty face, she also knows her Quidditch lingo!
“If there’s an opening somewhere, sure … You [have got to] move upwards not down you know?”
With some big names in mind, that this reporter has promised not to say, the fans of this former Slytherin will be pleased to know that a return to his homeland is not off the cards! Despite his goal for obscurity in France it wasn’t quite what Adam received, as Agincourt fought their way from bottom of the league to fifth, a lot of their successes lie on this Beater’s broad shoulders with him now being seen as the face of the team, which few object to with his rugged good looks and cheeky smile.
If rumours are to be believed, the British and Irish League Quidditch Fan Club are working hard on putting together a rather racy Charity Calendar for 2028. Your intrepid writer didn’t hesitate to find out all the juicy gossip on it Adam had been asked. As a former British and Irish League player it would be a travesty to all fans if he were omitted, especially if he returns to the League over the summer transfer period.
“Of course I will, it’s for charity. As I showed earlier with the Hogsmeade reparations, I care a lot about those in need. They’d be daft no’ to have me in it, even if I’m not playing in the leagues a’ the minute seeing as I’ve become such a household name. I’ve dibsed September already though, on the record.”
With all hopes that the calendar comes to fruition your writer sadly brought the interview to a close but let’s all keep our fingers crossed that France’s most popular player does make a permanent return!
