The Esteemed Wizengamot Invites Participation in a Mock Trial
The Wizengamot, The British Ministry of Magic’s High Court of Law, is delighted to extend an invitation to all students. On the 26th of May, a Mock Wizengamot Trial will be convened, offering a rare glimpse into the inner workings of the Ministry of Magic’s judicial system.
This event is to be coordinated by the Wizengamot Administration Services, who have meticulously crafted a fictional case to challenge, enlighten, and educate participants. The roles to be cast are; the accused, the witnesses, the esteemed members of the Wizengamot, and the magistrate. The proceedings shall be presided over by Alastair Colquhoun, the Sitting Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot.
Students wishing to partake will receive house points for their time and are encouraged to fill out the application form which will be provided by their respective Heads of Houses.
Students who do not wish to take part are welcome to attend as ‘Court Watchers’.

The Mock Wizengamot Trial is to be held on 26th May from 12pm until 4pm at Hogwarts.
There are multiple roles required to ensure the Mock Wizengamot Trial can occur
– Wizengamot Magistrate
– Accused
– Witnesses
– Wizengamot
The roles will be given out by no later than 1st May
You will receive your information cards about your character by no later than the 24th May.
When you receive your information card you must not share any information with anyone to avoid jeopardising the integrity of the trial.
