Oreyn Fox succeeds the witch as Headmaster of Hogwarts
April 20th, 2024.
Weeks bled restlessly into months, as campaign after campaign spotlighted all sixteen prospective witches and wizards trying to hurdle their way to the most honorable position in Britain: Minister for Magic. Magdeline Gonore, founder of Hats for the Haggered Hags, came in at eighty percent likability in Daily Prophet polls. Bugulus Warble, the current Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot, overstepped this statistic by two points, giving him a comfortable eighty two percent. However, we can officially confirm that, without campaigning, sitting with a powerful ninety six percent, Hannah Jane Fischer will ascend as the new British Minister for Magic. A series of cabinet and law changes will be implemented by Minister Fischer, starting with the immediate anointment of Madame Seung Hightower as secretary of education.
Only last year, Hannah Fischer was struck by the youth dwindling curse Rescendio Vitae, by renounced Death Eater, now turned Minister Advisor, Zimelda Zemeckis. Despite the odds, and with assistance from her benefactress, and Fox, she has made a full recovery, cementing the notion that she is indeed a Phoenix rising from the ashes. What do we know already about Hannah Fischer? In her earliest years, she worked as an International Representative for the Confederation of Wizards, an esteemed role that would later be the key to becoming the Headmistress of Hogwarts. During her time as the overseer of our northern institution of magic, she was sidelined by the board of governors, whos vision was not malleable. In these moments, Minister Fischer was tailgated by countless officials, before she took her own stride and found her own flair.
Her persistence in the face of many adversities, and scandal stories, was recognized not only by the Ministry of Magic itself, but also by the general public. Overcoming a curse nobody thought was possible was a personal victory. Defeating Judy Dorchester’s regime was a national justice, and a dish that will be served cold now that she ascends to Minister for Magic. Somewhere in Azkaban, we presume that Dorchester is rattling behind her cage, along with her felonious goons, at this hugely important moment in our history. We wish goodluck to Minister Fischer, and look forward to seeing what days now lay ahead of us.
Oreyn Fox succeeds Hannah Fischer as the new Headmaster for Hogwarts, having enjoyed many years as both the Slytherin Head of House and as Deputy Headmaster. This decision was spearheaded by Hannah Fischer herself, who holds a great degree of trust for the wizard. His quirky sense of leadership, and his proven courage in various dubious situations at the academy, concretes his qualification for the role. A replacement Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor has not yet been selected, though we are sure that given Fox’s ostentatious nature, a suitable candidate will be picked in time.
