February 20th:
A fight breaks out at the Hearty Party
Ministry of Magic members arrive at the Hearty Party
An unnamed student throws wasabi at a ministry member
Another unnamed student puts sushi down a ministry member’s dress
February 22nd:
An unnamed student used flippendo on a professor whose allegiance is thought to lie with the Ministry
February 24th:
A professor who shall remain unnamed advises students that if they see injustice to speak up, and if they are spoken over to shout louder.
Countless occurrences happened between January 7th and February 20th that the Ministry of Magic and The Daily Prophet clearly heard of, caught onto and acted upon.
Within the space of just over a month we have a new headmistress, self appointed by the Head of the Board of Governors, herself, and a handful of new professors, all loyal to the Ministry. They’re here because, despite well-founded accusations published to the wizarding populous of the UK, the students of Hogwarts have not pulled their literal or metaphorical socks up!
One would have hoped that since Headmistress Dorchester and her professors gained control of Hogwarts that the students would be, at least publically, controlled. But no! What have we, the students of Hogwarts, done since? We have proved them right!
We have proved ourselves to be the unruly brats that The Daily Prophet painted us to be. Some of us, indeed, are not but unfortunately we are all to be tarred with the same brush whilst our peers act out.
It is unacceptable to see students attacking staff members, mouthing off when they are unhappy with teaching methods, and professors unaffiliated with the Ministry encouraging blatant subterfuge.
I myself, as editor, have received articles that students have wanted publishing criticising the new regime at Hogwarts. I have chosen not to publish these articles with the school motto in mind “Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus.”
Let us not tickle the dragon; may they be sleeping or just dormant.
