Hogsmeade Village in the Shadow of Terror- Dementor attacks on the high street
By Christian Hastings
Greyson Calloway of London, Gringotts Cursebreaker of high repute, has reported two attacks, the first occurring on 15th of February and the second on the 24th. The DMLE are yet to respond to his requests for assistance, though the evidence of these attacks is clear and can be vouched for by both witnesses to the aftermath of the attacks and St. Mungos staff who cared for Mr. Calloway after taking him in, post-second attack.
In describing the second attack, the man was visibly shaken, his hands trembling as he spoke.
“The darkness returned, everywhere, leaving no room for even the sunlight to peek through. The same chill, the same overwhelming sadness. That’s when I saw it, just like the pictures from our DADA books in school. Black tattered cloak, boney claw-like fingers, and a mouth that might as well have been a black hole, sucking all the joy away. I saw it.”
As Mister Calloway continued his recounting of the events of February 24th, a gloom pervaded his tone and countenance.
“It’s mouth opened, and it felt like my very soul was leaving my body. All I could think about was every depressing or traumatic event that ever happened in my life. I was at its mercy, waiting for it to kill me. And just when I almost stopped feeling anything, it left.”
Aside from wanting an explanation for the presence of Dementors in Hogsmeade at all, let alone their apparent targeting of his good self, Mr Calloway wants his story to be told, to inform the public and hopefully spur the DMLE into action
At this time, we caution the public to be on alert when in Hogsmeade.
