On the one hand, congratulations to Durmstrang for your victory in the Tri-Wizard Tournament! Lars proved himself the greatest of the competitors, and did Durmstrang proud. On the other hand, what a disastrous year in just about every other way! I too mourn Headmaster Golovin’s death, as I am sure does every soul at Hogwarts. I admire him and his vision for Durmstrang, and I hope you can all keep it going. Given what your Deputy Headmistress and then your second Headmaster did, it’s clear you have a struggle ahead of you to fulfil that vision. If I can help that happen, even in some small way, it would be my honour to do so. I am sure there are many at Hogwarts who feel that way. You have friends in the UK now, and we mean it. I know I sure do. Fare well in your voyage home, and may we all meet again soon.

Our visitors have made such an impact on Hogwarts this year. The area by the cottage will seem so empty and forlorn without you all.

Dom and Magnus, you are the two I know the best. I was so surprised. Wow, an older boy is sitting with us, and we’re only fourth years! Thanks for the fun and for having our backs when we needed help and encouragement. And for the sweater off your back Magnus! Farewell my friends. I will miss you.

And for beautiful, gentle, articulate Seraphine, Thank you for your kind words and consideration and positive little prods. I’m so glad you came to Hogwarts.

Thank you for coming to Hogsmeade this year and changing my mind on how I feel about the past International Relationships. You have opened my eyes to the thrills and laughter in having some of you as my friend. I wish you all the best with your endeavours, and to those going back to Durmstrang for another year, I hope you the best with a new Headmaster… or at least a year free of scandal.

Magpie, you have always been a down to earth, supportive friend. Whether it was supporting my business, or lending an ear. I will cherish each moment we have had and I hope to see you sooner then I hope, maybe this summer. P.S. you still owe me.
