The Magician card signifies a period in your life during which you can affect outcomes positively.
In reading matters of the heart, this is a positive card. The Magician card indicates relationships progressing, with greater commitment and increased happiness on the way. In terms of finances and ambition, The Magician card indicates new opportunities presenting themselves. You will have to act courageously, putting your best ideas to good use. Magicians never reveal their secrets, so likewise, you should keep your projects under wraps. It’s a good time to start new ventures, as you will feel self-assured and motivated. Big things are on the horizon! You may even be given the opportunity to mentor someone, or be mentored by someone with beneficial wisdom and experience to share. Reversed Meaning Interpretation
When The Magician appears reversed (upside down) in a reading it is a warning sign. You need to pay attention to opportunities coming to you and not allow self-doubt to stop you from saying yes. If the card refers to a person in your life, The Magician reversed can indicate that someone you perceive to be knowledgeable and trustworthy may be manipulating you. Beware greedy people and be careful who you trust if you see this card in reverse.
In short, the appearance of The Magician in reverse suggests trickery, conniving, manipulation, greed, wasted ability, untrustworthiness and lack of clarity.
