After being brought up in a family who worked in this field I thought this would be the last thing I ever did. But things change and I found myself in my seventh year with no real plans and no ideas of who I was or what I wanted to be.
Inevitably I ended up following the career path my parents would be happiest… with a twist!
I started my own competing business.
I was lucky enough to have some money behind me, money I probably should have bought a house with but instead I realised that I enjoyed trees when my parents weren’t around.
Day to day life in this career is a lot of travelling, which can get really lonely and very quiet but the best part is working with friends. My friend Persephone will be working at Ollivander’s and by the time she graduates I’m hoping to be established enough to be their newest supplier.
For this kind of job you need to have an enthusiasm for herbology, especially being able to recognise different types of trees. A basic knowledge of Care of Magical Creatures is important too as sometimes bowtruckles are the least of your worries!
