Yesterday evening the Wixen of Diagon Alley were witness to unexpected events as Gordelain Geldigog- believed by many to be one of the greatest metalsmiths of all time- was found just outside the steps of Gringotts Wizarding Bank.
According to eyewitnesses, the goblin assaulted a small child before beginning a rampage through the alley, knocking about the old and young alike. He was reported to have been in a state of extreme filth, missing several fingers long scarred over, and rambling in a way that could only suggest this once great Artisan was now maddened.
Reports also state that enraged Wixen retaliated with the casting of lethal spells before the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and concerned citizens stepped in, including Professional Duelist Bonnie Nishi, Magical Artist Aisling Colquhoun, Goode’s Potions Shop Owner Lukka Rookswood, and Professional Quidditch Star Persephone Vitrac.
We reached out to several witnesses, wixen and goblin alike for statements and received the following.
–Dezdha Durendare
“I just think it’s suspicious, right? You lot post an article about him missing and suddenly he reappears? And your Ministry just hauls him off? What about his clan? They might want their metalsmith back, yeah?”
–Edith Scrimshaw
“I was just baffled to be honest. I was trying to buy veg at my favourite stall and suddenly this Goblin comes running out and knocks my daughter over. As if they ain’t made times hard enough for us as it is, now we got ’em knocking down our children and our elderly! The cheek of it.”
-Aisling Colquhoun
“I can not even begin to speculate what happened. But I am glad I was there to identify him as he is of such importance to the art world. I hope for a swift recovery from his long ordeal and a swifter reunion with his loved ones.”
Readers will recall that Gordelain Geldigog has been missing four four years prior to his sudden reappearance, interestingly timed with the Daily Prophet’s Memorial issue earlier this month. With the DMLE spiriting him off into their custody, many are left with only one question- What happened to Gordelain Geldigog over the last four years?
