What’s in a book?

There is a new round of curses going about that have effects both students and professors alike.

It’s not trinkets or random objects this time but, BOOKS!  I owled our Deputy Headmistress for more information on these new cursed items. 

She informed me that there are at least four cursed books. Which thankfully we do know the whereabouts of most by now. I’m 100% positive we know of at least two, possibly all four.  The books came from a collection owned by someone named Elizer G. Ornish and had been in the Restricted Section along with a collection of Nullifying books.  But somehow the books got removed and separated. So now curses. My money is on Jeeves for all this curse stuff all year, it would be the sort of thing he’d find funny.

And these aren’t just “touch it and you’re cursed till it wears off” or “give it away and the curse stops” nope these are cursed till the two books are rejoined.  And you get cursed if you “take possession” of the books. So reading over someone’s shoulder, ok!  Taking the book, touching the book, or being given the book, not ok! The curses for the most part seem kinda harmless and annoying at first but grow stronger and can get deadly.

Helpful Handy Herbology Hints by Hematius Hemmel
Hogwarts School of Wizardcraft & Witchery
What to Eat & When to Eat It by Bartholomew Storey

We need to find these counter books! I don’t know if the counter books have the same name, but they might.  But just in case they do not, if you see any of these books lying about don’t pick it up. Find a way to make sure the book stays where it’s at and then go fetch a professor.   The counter books may have different names so if you see a strange book, be careful and again let a professor know. Our schoolmates and professors that are cursed need your help!
