It was in the slumber of the Hogwarts hall that the illusive Vice-Chancellor to the High Courts, Zimelda Zemeckis, of 22 years service to the Ministry of Magic, escaped as a self-confessed ex-Death Eater( a harrowing fact that the wizarding community is still coming to terms with).
She was known by many as the most notorious chancellor of current times, often convicted as a woman of many secrets with a dark past to boot. Though nobody truly would have expected that in the flight of the winter season at Hogwarts, the year just past, all of the would be proved true; this woman was, after all the years of speculation, a follower of the most powerful dark wizard of recent times.
This raised many questions. How is it that a woman with a murderous history, managed to slime her way into the ranks of the Ministry, unnoticed, to find herself in a position o such integral power as Vice-Chancellor to the High Courts, under the unwavering stone-like gaze of none other than Judy Dorchester the High Judge herself? Dorchester, under great scrutiny, has provided little information regarding the Death Eater’s sly ascension, but did say this: “I am deeply disturbed by the recent events that have transpired at our greatest institution, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A full investigation will ensue, and once Zemeckis is caught, she will face full trial, and with immediacy. Parents, guardians and citizens of our community must rest assured that everything is under full control, and the establishment is in safe hands.”
Translucent words to some, from the third most influential official within the Ministry of Magic. All attempts to interview the Minister of Magic or his Undersecretary have been sourly unsuccessful. The current whereabouts of Zimelda Zemeckis remain unknown. She is rumoured to have been spotted in Germany, though sources are sparse, Aurors are said to be there already.
Indeed, these are brooding times and dark reminders of a past we thought was long behind us. If one Death-Eater managed to evade the wandering gaze of one of our most successful Ministers, Kingsley Shacklebolt, then could this mean that there are more? Are we, in fact, entering into the dawn of another war? It is believed that a new order is forming in the wake of the Dark Lord’s demise.
If this is true, will Zemeckis form part of this brewing cult and what yet of those villains we have seen caress our lambs these past years from the failed headmistress Hawthorn and her ungodly attacks on the young, to the Darkness that blanketed the north in the form of beasts, during Picklebottoms time as headmaster–and why, again, does it all focus so determinedly on the castle of Hogwarts itself?
It begs the question: Is Hogwarts cursed?
