Hufflepuffs, the house of those who have a strong sense of justice, loyalty, patience, and hard work. The prefects for this house surely do embody these traits. As a team, I have not seen them work together, yet, but I know almost all of them personally, and I can say that they are some of the most Huffle of Hufflepuffs. They would bring pride to the founder of the house almost 1,040 years later.
I sat down and asked the four huffle prefect’s a series of questions, some serious and some not so serious. So let’s take a look to see what they said. Lets start with their stats.
Siren Resling | Marigold Macaron Feathersweet | Caitlin Spector | Thomas (Toma) Ahn 안 지 훈 |
7th year | 7th year | 7th year | 6th year |
So, here’s a a few more in depth questions to get to know them.
What was your favourite sweets from Honeydukes?
Toma: I don’t really have a favourite candy, I’m not a sweets person. I prefer savoury things
Caitlin: My favourite is their Lava Cakes. I always get them. They have quite a bit of chocolate on the inside that flows out when you bite into them. So you have to be careful, but they are so worth any mess.
Siren: I would probably say their cakes.. I cannot chose just one.
Mari: Things with caramel.
What is your favourite class?
Toma: My favourite class is COMC, I’m hoping to work for the Ministry after graduation in the werewolf division
Caitlin: Art. Professor Moore gives us fun projects using a variety of supplies to teach us different styles and techniques.
Siren: Magical Teory or Dragonology
Mari: Charms and Transfigurations
Are you in any clubs?
Toma: Yearbook club mostly, I’m hoping to start a physical education club but not sure there’s a lot of interest for it.
Caitlin: Yearbook, I’d join an art or music club if there was one.
Siren: I was in gardening club, I’m hoping they bring it back
Mari: Owl post, Yearbook gardening and when it was around flying horse club
Is there anything in particular that you are worried about this year?
Toma: Not this year! Maybe next year when it’s NEWTs but this is my off year and it’s smooth sailing as far as stress.
Caitlin: NEWTS
Siren: Just hoping we can keep everyone safe this year
Mari: Mostly more of the same happening, I guess. It’s been a rough few years. I’m not too stressed over NEWTS tbh.
What is your favourite spell?
Toma: Colour Change Spell, I like being able to change colours on a whim
Caitlin: Veliusridicule, the disillusionment charm, can be used to disguise an object that a baddie wants by giving what you target the appearance of whatever is behind it, like a chameleon. That intrigues me. I haven’t had an occasion to use it yet.
Siren: Quackers or Locomotor
Mari: The masking charm, I’ve waited till this year to learn it! It’s so handy in my chosen profession.
A lot of people say that Hogwarts is dangerous, what do you say to that?
Toma: It can be if you’re not observant and manage to run into the troubled parts of the castle. Outsiders aside, the castle itself can be pretty dangerous if you’re not careful.
Caitlin: Of course it’s dangerous; it’s Hogwarts. Although a wixen’s life without the magical training we receive would be far more dangerous.
Siren: I think it depends on who you ask…
Mari: It’s no more or less dangerous than the rest of the wizarding world. We’re just in a bubble and don’t hear much about the outside
Last year had a lot of incidents, anything on how to avoid that kind of thing?
Toma: Easy, don’t be a knob and you’ll get through the year just fine.
Caitlin: Keep your eyes and ears open and be sensitive to changes around you. Both tangible and intangible.
Siren: Make sure you listen to your prefects and professors when there’s something we’re warning you about. It’s for your safety.
Mari: Stay calm and listen to what your professors and prefects tell you. They know more and trying to be the hero will get you hurt or worse.
Is there anything that you want people reading this to know?
Toma: Judging people without knowing them, or their intents could be your undoing and your greatest flaw. Always get to know a person first.
Caitlin: Here at Hogwarts we learn how to channel our magic, develop our abilities, and graduate prepared to face what might come at us. I don’t always make the most of it. Do better than I do, okay?
Siren: If anyone fancies a chat, they just need to OWL or poke me, I’m open to helping people. Or just chatting with some hot cocoa if someone needs an ear or a freind.
Mari: Hogwarts can be a lot in many ways. But it will do its best to protect its own and help will come if called for. It is also home and will always be a part of you. As this is my last year I look back on the past six with a mix of emotions. But the strongest one will always be joy.
So, there we go. Words from our Hufflepuff prefect team. It’s a diverse team, but I really believe that they will show what being a hufflepuff means. If you need any help, be on the look out for them!
