You all danced your worship to The Great Pumpkin on Saturday night and come midnight, in the wee hours of Thursday morning, you will find yourselves greatly rewarded! My mum once told me that in polite conversation we should avoid talking of religion, politics, and The Great Pumpkin, but when times are dire sometimes you must address these.
The Great Pumpkin is a benevolent being in this magical world, all knowing and all seeing and The Great Pumpkin visits the most sincere pumpkin patches and gives out gifts to all the good girls and boys.
The Hufflepuffs have been working together to help tend to the most sincere pumpkin patch on the castle grounds, others may scoff at this thought and tell you that we were merely growing pumpkins for the hallowe’en bash but it is a lie! Professor Priaulx has remained tight lipped – as she is most days – on the subject, not wishing to lie to her students by denying the rightful truth.
To increase the castle’s chances of a Great Pumpkin visit, I have taken it upon myself to create small, sincere pumpkin patches around the castle. Some may say that creating multiple pumpkin patches dilutes the sincerity of our cause but The Great Pumpkin will see the genuine devotion we have towards him!
With this I encourage each of you to take a few small pumpkins and place them under your bed – I have discovered that the floorboards under mine are easily lifted – with a nice layer of compost and coax them into life, and at midnight as hallowe’en approaches sit amongst them so that The Great Pumpkin will find our castle wide patch the most sincere and bestow us with gifts!
