It’s another Friday and, quill in hand, your newly appointed Editor in Chief (and ever intrepid reporter) is decked out in appropriately seasonal red knit and fabulous heeled boots (all to code of course!).
A noticeable absence has been felt in the halls of Hogwarts this past week, maybe not noticeable for positive reasons but noticeable none-the-less.
Trouble herself, one Rita Grey, has spent the past week in the hospital wing for reasons unknown to many apart from school staff and your vivacious reporter. Patient confidentiality, thankfully, does not extend to your writer and she can exclusively reveal that an infection almost took our troublesome Miss Grey’s life last Friday following a detention set by Professor Gothly.
Your stunning reporter – with hair classically swept from her brow – caught up with Professor Gothly to discuss her take on the matter;
“Although Charms is the subject in which I teach, I am well versed in the complexities and challenges that Transfiguration spells possess. The fact that any student, no matter if it is Ms. Grey or someone taking N.E.W.T. level courses, they all face challenges.”
Following this brief sojourn on the third floor, your ever-lovely reporter made her way to the hospital wing to snatch a brief chat with the elusive Miss Grey herself. However Frau Weber soundly rebuffed this plan informing this reporter that Rita has further healing to do and may remain in there longer.
Unable to have a moment to be torn down by one of Rita’s infamous venomous diatribes, your favourite red haired reporter had to resort to an old ‘interview’ from earlier this term.
–
Picture the scene; the simply sumptuous Saffron perched upon a kitchen surface in a simple jeans and plain t-shirt and Rita, up to her elbows in soapsuds as she washes your breakfast dishes.
Despite being unforthcoming when questioned about her experiences of being transfigured into a pig (she threw a plate at me! A PLATE!), she was happy to point fingers at the person who did transfigure her.
Your reporter will keep all accusations under wraps – no one wants to be sued for defamation of character.
Unfortunately the interview was cut short by Miss Grey’s threats to drown this reporter in the soapy water she’d just been elbow deep in only moments before but I will close with a remark
Rita told me
“Friends? Friends get you killed.”
Maybe she should have heeded my advice that friends care for you and stop you being killed.
Hopefully she’ll remember who saved her when she leaves the wing…

Rumours have been flying around the school that, since Miss Grey’s stay commenced in the wing, there have been no further Ravenclaw attacks with many questioning if she is the perpetrator.
However, your ever-gregarious writer asks you, the reader, to entertain the notion that Miss Grey may be being framed. Maybe the real attacker is hiding in the shadows until she is released to strike again…?
Until next time (which may be sooner than you think, await further for ‘An Interview With… The Attacked”)
