Dear Lucky,
My cheeky chick friend is so mean to me. But, at the same time, she’s so sweet. What’s with the hot and cold? Is it something that I’m doing? What do the cards say?
Can’t take a hint
Dear Can’t take a hint,
Ooo, the Moon. That explains a lot, Mate. This card is all about big emotions, mixed signals and things not being quite what they look like inside your head. Your cheeky chick might be sweet one minute and sharp the next because she is swimming in her own moods, not because you are doing something wrong. The Moon says to trust your gut, not the drama. Notice how she treats you over time, not just in one weird moment, and do not let her tug you around like a yo yo. You are allowed to enjoy the sweet bits and still set a line when it starts to sting.
Trust your gut, not the shadows,
Lucky Ladd
————————————-
Dear Lucky Ladd,
My father is extremely overbearing. He puts an immense amount of pressure on me to be perfect in everything that I do. It feels like nothing I do is ever good enough. If I succeed at something, in his eyes, I still could have done better. If I mess up even a little, it’s a huge deal.
I am constantly watched and judged. I can’t relax or just be myself. I am always stressed, anxious, and worried about disappointing him. It’s honestly suffocating. Anytime I try to tell him that it is all just too much, he gets angry at me and demands that I work harder. How should I seal with my father before I go completely insane?
Miss Restricted
Dear Miss Restricted,
That does sound properly suffocating! The Six of Swords card is the boat out of stormy waters. This does not say burn the ship, just that you do not have to stay in the middle of the storm forever. You are not broken or lazy for struggling. His standards are harsh and that is not on you. This card says it is time to look for help in the boat. Find a trusted adult at school, or maybe another relative, and tell them how bad it really feels. You cannot change your father, but you can start to build a space that allows you to breathe. Slowly plan your way toward calmer shores as you get older.
May you find the calm waters you seek,
Lucky Ladd
