Lucky!
I am very concerned about an unnamed family member. This time last year she said she wanted to herd Jarveys and run a lawn-care business when she grew up. This year, she’s got it into her head that she can go to France and be a Matigot handler. I’m not sure whether to encourage her in these flights of fancy, or turn her thoughts to more practical careers, like teaching or being an auror or a librarian. What do you think?
I don’t want to support this kid forever.
Dear I Don’t Want To Support This Kid Forever,
A flair for dramatics, The Death card. It’s all about change and growth. At her age, careers are meant to be short lived and replaced. Jarveys one year, Matigots the next. The card suggests you let these plans breathe. Don’t rush her into something sensible now. Ask what she likes about these creatures. Support her curiosity. The wilder dreams will fall away and more practical paths will appear, especially if she knows you take her interests seriously.
Let her grow through it,

Dear Lucky Ladd,
I am a first year muggle-born student. Learning about the magical world has been exciting and shocking! Soon I’ll be going back home for the holidays, to my muggle family. I’m excited to tell them all about school and show them all that I’ve learned, but I’m worried about the statute of secrecy! Can you advise me please?
Scared of going to Azkaban
Dear Scared of going to Azkaban,
Good news! As you are a muggle born, your parents were already officially filled in and informed to keep this all on the down low. The Three of Pentacles in reverse has shown up, just like your doubts talking. It’s a reminder to reconnect, not panic. Go home, have a laugh, tell them all about houses, classes and ghosts. Let them see how much you have grown. Just keep the magic in your stories, not your wand, and you will be nowhere near Azkaban.
Enjoy the holiday!

Dear Lucky Ladd,
This is so embarrassing to write about, however there are two boys I am well acquainted with. I am not a girl who buys into labels, however I may have developed a “fondness” for one or two of the mentioned boys. Could something develop or should I eliminate these weaker emotions?
Miss Dilemma in the Castle
Dear Miss Dilemma in the Castle,
Ah, the World card, go on then, that is a big pull for a little castle crush! It is saying your life is opening up, not closing in, so you do not need to shove your feelings down or slap some label on yourself just yet. For now, enjoy them both as people, see who you feel most yourself around and who makes your world feel bigger, not smaller. Let it all unfold at its own pace, you will know when something is worth stepping toward proper.
World’s at your feet,
Lucky Ladd

Lucky!
This is kind of embarrassing, so please keep my name a secret, yeah? I have this problem. All the guys I like only like me as a friend, plus they all seem to have a whole flock of girlfriends. I don’t understand how this whole thing works! How do I get a boyfriend? I’m not asking for a lot, I only want one boyfriend, not a whole flock.
Will I ever find luv?
Dear Will I Ever Find Luv,
Secrets are safe here. The Fool has turned up to show you that new beginnings and taking a little leap of faith are the thing to do! It’s not about chasing lads with a large following. The card is nudging you to loosen up, try new things. You just need one person who chooses you back! That starts with you enjoying your own story, not forcing it to hurry up. Don’t try to jump straight to boyfriend, take it one step at a time. Just take the time to be a bit silly and open. Then, the right one will appear when you are busy living!
One step at a time,
Lucky Ladd
