Whilst there are lots of strange people that linger outside places, my mother always told me that no one sits outside a place unless they are up to no good or waiting for someone, and that was what I noticed about the stranger outside The 3Bs this Hogsmeade weekend.
Now for the sake of all sakes, we should let the readers determine what this man was up to. Good or no good? And here is the evidence I can share with you, or what I saw with my own eyes, and I will try to remain unbiased.
Description: A man with a bone hat, scars on his face and dressed in all black.
That alone does not say he is guilty because we know plenty of people with similar fashion, and it is not a crime to wear bones on your hats…I think? Suppose it depends where the bone came from, but I did not ask…
This man claimed to like chasing, and did not like people fussing over his untied boots..again, chasing could have meant Quidditch or, well, something, and untied boots are only dangerous were you to trip over your laces!
Now, this man did claim he had business in Hogsmeade, which again goes back to what my mother says about people waiting outside places and waiting for people, and they could have been meeting up for lunch in The 3Bs rather than meeting for dodgy reasons. Although here comes something important, and I quote,
“Best move along before the shadows here decide your fate without mercy.”
I could not decipher what that meant, and it is probably something to ask in next Divinations class, but I did not want any shadows deciding my fate, and maybe it was a warning of something to come or what have you, but soon after he asked the question if we had seen any new, strange and fuzzy creatures…now a Pygmy Puff is a possible answer as they are strange and fuzzy, but there are not new, so the only answer could be Haggis, and the man mentioned that was good enough that we had noticed.
So, the man was not hiding his intentions, he had something to with the haggis for certain. When I combined together his talk of chasing and haggis, I started to create that theory that maybe he was hunting the haggis.
The bone-hatted man also said to stay out of places we do not belong and there will be no trouble, that curiosity leads to somewhere unpleasant.
That is a good piece of advice, but we still got a professor just in case…and something happened after that, but I was not there, so I am sure someone else has more evidence for you to make your final decision on The Bone Hat Man.
