Herbology Professor: Riley Garnet

Hiya guys, Kayli here! I’m here to unload some knowledge on ya! You would have to be living under a rock if you haven’t seen that we have a new Herbology professor! (We Miss You, Dracheblume!) Her name is Professor Riley Garnet, and the rumors are true, She totally smells like a fresh garden.
Professor Garnet was an alumni here at Hogwarts, and I’m happy to say she used to be a Badger! Just like me! But don’t you worry, other houses, she says she doesn’t favor one over the other! She is from a super tiny town called Poolewe, Scotland. Professor Garnet says it’s so small that its population is less than 300 people! Wow, that’s really small. She used to work in a herbology shop in her magical alley just near town, but thought that Teaching would be a great challenge!
When asked about her favourite spell, she says it has to be the gardening charm, due to it being so useful, especially when you don’t have time to waste! Or have plants to save! When asked about her time here at Hogwarts, versus what she’s seen now, she states about how the new beautiful greenhouses are, and also our lovely Edna. (For those who don’t know, edna is the plant that peaks her vines outside of the greenhouses, and it’s very rude to people she doesn’t know, so don’t get too close!) Anyways, what was I saying?! OH! Professor Garnet also wanted to spread more knowledge of her herbology ways, as Hogwarts has a bigger audience, and fresh minds to teach.
Asking for a closing statement, Professor Garnet had this to say, “Well from what I have learned since coming here I feel like I have some big shoes to fill in regards to the last Professor. But I’m not her, I hope in time to have the same sort of warm relationship with you all. Also, plants aren’t as scary as they seem.. They bounce back better than you think, Especially with magic!” She also wanted the students to know that if a student ever has questions, they can come to her.. Oh! And she also loves shortbread!
