Anytime anything good happens, I’m worried it’ll vanish and things will be bad again. Am I too paranoid?
The Hermit asks us to look inside of ourselves for guidance and answers. He looks upon a mountain, and though he is alone, he is not lonely. He understands himself, and asks that we take the time for deep introspection, to understand ourselves, as well. We should not weigh our happiness so heavily on the things that happen to us, and instead understand our own needs and goals, so that we may work to achieve them. Activity to enrich our own lives is where true happiness lies – not events that may happen just based off of pure chance. While such things can contribute to happiness, we should take our fullest responsibilities for ourselves. Your life is your own to live, you need only take the initiative.
