Although it’s Summer-time, the students and members of the Owl Post are always working to keep you connected. Homes and especially your bedrooms, as everyone knows, are places of sanctuary and privacy, where you can truly express yourself. A person’s home shows how their everyday life goes, and their bedrooms speak volumes about their personalities. So, we’re visiting and showcasing the homes, bedrooms, and even yards of our dear students. Asking for willing parties, today’s home that we present to you, belongs to a Ravenclaw we all know quite well, Essa Nazari!
I’ll be the first to admit that I never dreamed of having a chance to share what my not-so-magical home looked like. So, with that said, I was absolutely dreading going home, mostly because I haven’t been there for any amount of time for a good amount of time (trust me, I have my reasons-ask me about it one day.) I arrived home only to be hauled up to the attic by my mum and siblings. I had no clue why. I found out soon enough.
Turns out the past year (they just moved to Edinburgh last summer), was spent working on transforming the attic into a place that is just for me. It’s a three room attic loft that has a large bedroom, the loo, and a sitting/study room. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I came home, but it wasn’t this. But, no matter how I look at it, this surprise was well worth it.
As you can see the sitting/study area has plenty of places (and blankets) for me to sit, relax, and either study or sleep. A small mini-fridge is there to keep whatever leftovers I bring home from work to eat along with water. I also have a pot belly stove, which I am currently petitioning the Ministry to put in a floo network set up in.
The sleeping area is large enough for two queen beds and still plenty of room for sleeping bags and stuff. Mum has already given me permission to have a slumber party, though I don’t know if she realizes what could happen if an attic full of witches occurs. So, I’ll try to sort out all of that stuff out when the time comes.
Editor’s Note: If YOU would like to showcase your own home or bedroom, please contact Persephone Vitrac (alexis1oreily) by owl to work out the details.
