As many of you know, there is a monster stalking the grounds and the students of Hogwarts. It seems every two weeks, we hear of another attack near the castle. Finally weeks ago, a specialist from the Ministry of Magic was brought in to do a proper investigation. Of course, one particular question has gone through the mind of everyone here at Hogwarts:
Why this monster is doing this?
After reading past articles of the Owl Post, speaking to students and overhearing conversations on the way to class, I feel this monster has three agendas in their attacks. One, is pure terror. From the information from the Ministry specialist about the attacks, they have all occurred just outside of the castle on the school grounds. This monster is using tactics and leaving evidence common to the werewolf. It is common knowledge that there are werewolf students that sit among regular students. Everyone can currently hear the fear in the students and staff voices. Everyone can see the same fear in their eyes also.
That leads into the second motive of this monster. Division. As word of the attacks spread through the school along with the resulting fear, many students have divided themselves into two camps. Those who want the fore-mentioned werewolf students to controlled. I have overheard everything from registration to outright execution. There are those who believe that werewolf students should remain anonymous and helped by the faculty during the full phase of the moon.
So finally why does this monster want division within the faculty and the students? Revenge. The investigation of the Ministry representative Lucifer Gillespie has given us a face of the monster stalking the forest and the town of Hogsmeade. A human face. It is the opinion of this reporter that this witch was once a student at Hogwarts. I would believe that this witch was forced out of our prestigious school because she contracted lycanthropy while she was attending Hogwarts or she was outed by someone still at the school.
This horrible creature of a witch wants someone at this school to feel the pain she felt at being a pariah at Hogwarts and therefore at wizard society in general. I feel this witch has a personal connection to one or several staff members. This leads into my personal opinion that we, the students, of Hogwarts should have understanding and tolerance from those different from ourselves. We must do this to be better that our forebears. We must. Lest, this horror revisit our children in the form of our own classmates twisted by fear and hate. Thank you.
