This year has been less engaging for me. My best friend is withdrawn. Friends have left. I’ve lost confidence in some I used to look up to. I cannot truly be myself without losing house points or getting detention and I want to smack a lot of people upside the head.

Dear Bo Peep,
You clearly do not realise you are not a sheep. Do not follow the herd as it sounds like you need to be the one to do the herding. Everyone will feel they have lost their way along the road but remember it is a long road. This is the perfect time to start analysing yourself on what you want to do. As well as sounding like you have lost your nerve with quite a few people. So what if you smack a few heads? So what if you lose house points and get detentions? This will mold you into where you want to go. So stop being the sheep and be the Bo Peep. You are not lost, you are the one who needs to find your sheep and do the herding. Pick yourself back up, dust off your clothes and keep on going. Your path isn’t done yet.
I recently got in a duel with someone in front of a bunch of people, and I lost. It was humiliating! How can I get my confidence back after so many people saw me perform badly?
What you do is, you find the biggest and baddest wizard of them all and confront them in front of a crowd… no… no… don’t do that. You will get pulverised and detentions to last you a lifetime where even your kids have to finish your detentions when they get into Hogwarts. People tend to forget over time, take it from me. I have done some pretty crazy things while here at Hogwarts and it’s barely a whisper nowadays. If you are really worried about what you should do as it is that crucial to gain your footing again, then heed this lesson. Practice. Practice really hard on what you know and get better where you failed. Challenge said person to a duel once again but do this with confidence again going into it. Make sure you practice enough where you cannot fail. Analyse their weaknesses, and where they succeed so you can come up with a game plan. Do your research and you shall conquer.
