Although it’s Summer-time, the students and members of the Owl Post are always working to keep you connected. Homes and especially your bedrooms, as everyone knows, are places of sanctuary and privacy, where you can truly express yourself. A person’s home shows how their everyday life goes, and their bedrooms speak volumes about their personalities. So, we’re visiting and showcasing the homes, bedrooms, and even yards of our dear students. Asking for willing parties, our first bedroom that we present to you, belongs to one of our brilliant Ravenclaw students, Marzia Sterling!
Hello, my fellow witches and wizards, this be the Ravenclaw they call ‘Marzia.’ They were asking around for people to submit some magical-home-tour things so, this is my lovely lair which you will be setting your eyes upon. I hope mine completely inspires you to do the same, because I want to learn all of your secrets…
Just kidding, of course. I made my bed and threw all my dishes in the sink (which is not pictured below, mind you) and Aisling came over and took some photos. I took the others, so hopefully you’ll enjoy our work.
This is my flat in London, England. My step dad rents out this one for me and the one underneath for himself, so that we can be close to his work at the ministry. It’s essentially one room, minus the tiny room where the loo is. I think it’s called an “open floor plan” with a loft for a bedroom. I’m aware it’s strange for an almost-seventeen-year-old to live by herself, but my home life is weird, so we’ll just leave it at that.
This is where I sleep. And read. And eat. And browse what those wiley muggles call the internet. It’s a wonderful invention, I recommend trying it. I usually use it to watch cartoons and listen to music, but there’s other stuff on it, too. This is basically a loft area you have to climb a ladder to get to, and I’ve spilt tea on myself many times trying to climb the ladder with it in my arms.
This is where I play what muggles call “video games,” and listen to records, read books, eat, sleep, all that good junk. It’s a nice chill out zone, and that couch has housed many of my naps. I’m quite fond of it for that very reason.
Those two dogs are my whippets, Wink and Wonk. They’re my guard dogs, and they’re lovely. I adore them to many, metaphorical bits and pieces.
Yes, that is a boat I’m using as a table. And as you can see, it is very much not covered with barnacles. I also eat here. And sometimes I end up sleeping here, when I’m really tired. I woke up with tomato sauce in my hair once, cause I face-planted my pizza. It was a proud moment. Basically, what you can learn from this is that my flat is essentially a giant bedroom with a kitchen. I literally eat and sleep everywhere. It’s lovely. The end.
Editor’s Note: If YOU would like to showcase your own home or bedroom, please contact Persephone Vitrac (alexis1oreily) or Tara de Barbarc (tarathebarbarian) by owl to work out the details.
