There is a lingering smell of citrus around the pile of this week’s edition of ‘The Owl Post’… Even the copy you pick up smells faintly orange-y… Maybe you should read it somewhere warm?

A common occurrence that seems to happen at Hogwarts is the casting of the Incendio spell. Not just by Professors teaching but by certain students too.
In this writer’s opinion it seems the Incendio spell seems to prove a point when used by certain students; especially a Miss Rita Grey a fourth year student from Slytherin House. What makes a student want to so badly burn someone? Is it a message saying ‘fear me’? Will we ever know?
Approximately four students who wish to remain anonymous for this article have explained in their own words of a situation arising in the great hall between Miss Grey and another student Miss Helena Arlet, a sixth year also from Slytherin house.
From the stories whispered into my ear, this situation turned pretty nasty pretty quickly. The stories that most described seem to be similar, two or three seem to go off in other directions of how things kicked off.
“It started like this” , One anonymous student explained. “I was sitting down and trying to eat the so called ‘dinner’ that had been prepared, when out the corner of my eye I seen three girls at the end of my table who all looked like they were in discussion but I couldn’t hear what was being said.”
When I asked the student did they recognise who they were the student nodded and replied “yes those three especially were recognisable; the three girls were Kamilla Bullstrod who obsessed with how she looks and always stinking of raspberry perfume and looks like a barbie doll , Rita Grey who is just plain evil and gets on with no one and finally Helena Arlet a twisted, high strung and wicked witch that used to date Nyle Arens” the student had explained before having to leave for their next class.
At first trying to find other students to ask about the situation was becoming a hard task, until three students decided they would spill the beans on the whole thing.
Each Students account of the story was similar, it goes like this.
Arlet, Bullstrod and Grey had been sat at the end of the slytherin table in small conversation when Rita had started by the looks of it trying to antagonise Arlet with obvious insults that made Arlet fume.
Without warning Helena had cast “Protego” it was unclear why, until Rita had fallen back and set herself on fire. How had this happened? The Protego spell and Rita falling back and burning herself meant one thing, Rita obviously had tried to burn Helena but failed instead getting herself burnt.
At this point the room was in chaos as two professors had charged towards the back of the hall seeing the whole thing kicking off while Kamila Bullstrod being who she was had slowly got up starting to run from the scene almost bumping into Professor Horse who luckily just nudged her and told her to wait while Professor Drache Blume used the Aguamenti spell to put out the fire.
Professor Horse had used the revulsion jinx to disarm both Arlet and Grey before bellowing “Enough of this foolishness” while Miss Grey who was now soaked after the fire had been put out did the strangest thing.
Rita admitted to the Professors it was her fault “Don’t blame, Arlet. It was me who started it. I wanted to watch Haglena here burn like I did with my other house mate.” She said before shockingly admitting also “I have rather become inspired by Professor Ironhand’s ways.”
Hearing this was a shock to even this writer. Continuing on, Rita’s admittance had not just shocked both of them but made them furious also, who wouldn’t be?
Remarks were made about taking both Rita and Helena to the Slytherin Head of House Professor Laura Gothly and along with talk of expulsion though that couldn’t be decided or confirmed at this time by a Professor.
Helena quickly intervened explaining that Rita had not admitted to setting another student on fire but wished she had, along with how they both had planned to curse each other as an excuse to be admitted to the hospital wing as the food there wasn’t disgusting as what was being served in the great hall.
Rita explained how she had been blamed for burning a student when in a matter of fact she had been studying with Aryiana Novelli a 4th year Ravenclaw student and that Professor Green, Head of Ravenclaw House, had dealt with the situation already.
Professor Dracheblume, at this point, clearly indicated that she suspected both students to be covering for each other, again she implemented the threat of bringing the matter to their head of house along with involving Professor Green as well.
At this point Professor Horse spoke up explaining that expulsion would be up to the Slytherin Head of House, he addressed Rita explaining that for her admittance to wanting to burn someone she would be doing a detention.
Suddenly without warning Rita shouted “no” then darted for the door as fast as she could quickly followed by Professor Horse barking at her and casting the Impediment Jinx to slow Rita down as she ran out the Great hall.
It was noted that the curfew order has been issued, the anonymous students had finally explained seeing both Arlet and Bullstrod heading back to the dungeons.
The students for their account of the whole story were greatly thanked along with being rewarded chocolate frogs.
This writer was going to interview Miss Bullstrod to find out what had happened but was told and this writer quotes “I am not going to tell you anything! no comment leave me alone or the Owl post will have a strong howler sent!”
As this writer always finishes with a moral.
The Moral of this story reader.. If you are going to play with fire expect to get BURNT!
