Halloween, the time of year when you can dress up like anything you want and goof off with your friends. Halloween at Hogwarts, well that’s a different story. Let’s take it back to the time we got the invitations from that spooky looking owl, which looked a few minutes shy from death. How excited were you? Were you jumping with excitement? I know I was.
Parties, just the word makes you want to throw on your best outfit and go dancing, but parties at Hogwarts? Now you’re talking! Even the food seemed magical that night! The music was thumping, everybody was dancing, don’t worry if you missed it because here’s the low down!
Who was who? It wasn’t hard to recognize some of our classmates that night. Essa Nazari, was a smashing fairy! Owl Post’s own, Saffie Foxclaw was a spooky Dementor. Scarlotte Evans was a twisted version of Red Riding Hood. I myself was the ghostly bride we all met this past summer at Brighton Bay. Hardly a shortage of creativity here at Hogwarts! Our professors even dressed up, but who can forget the double vision of Professor Fox? Gryffindor’s own Maximus Blankes made his costume to be our beloved Potions master, Professor Fox. Had all of us fooled too! That was, until the real Fox popped up and showed him just how to get down! Who could forget, Headmistress Fischer arriving in her absolutely wicked Maleficent costume! Positively stunning! She showed us students a thing or two on how to dance!
The night was young, but then again, so are we. As the dance came to an end. we took our tired feet to the dorms and settled in for the night; I don’t know about the other dorms, but the seventh year Slytherin girl dorms were up til the crack of dawn with chatter about the Bash. For my last year at Hogwarts, this bash will, without a doubt be, ‘A Bash to Remember’.
