Valentines Day is right around the corner which means Hogwarts may get a bit crazier then normal. I will, however, help you learn how to dodge, dip, duck, dive and dodge those ‘crazies,’ or lasso up a keeper [some of those Quidditch players are sure ‘keepers’].
If you’re looking to avoid the love craze this year, then you definitely want to pay close attention to my guidelines below. Since Valentine’s day lands on a Saturday your best bet is to start avoiding the following early on Friday morning:
1.) Accept NOTHING. No cards, no special presents, do NOT open anything.
2.) Do not drink or eat ANYTHING. Could be a love potion, or even worse some kind of love revenge if you denied someone.
3.) If need be, avoid classes. Who knows what the desperate gals and guys might pull.
4.) Avoid any human contact if you feel you have someone out to get you. They could be sending someone to do their bidding for them. No one is your friend these days. If you must interact, proceed with the utmost caution.
When it comes to avoiding everything at all costs, there are many possibilities that could just send your weekend in a whirl. It may be best to just stay in your dorm, if only just to save your poor dignity.
If you are, however, trying to catch the attention of someone special, you may have a sure shot chance if you:
1.) Make handmade gifts to leave for them where you know where they would find them. Make things interesting by being a secret admirer.
2.) If they are playing hard to get, see if you can help them out and give them a boost in your direction with a love potion. Or, if you can’t get your hands on that try something a bit more in reach to maybe make them a little more open minded. Dizziness draught I heard could do the trick. It may be a bit hard for them to just take it naturally, so you may have to bake something special for them (tune into part 2 for special treats to bake) and slip it inside. Just remember, you’re just helping them realize how they already felt about you! Not one single crumb or drop of guilt in the end – remember that!
3.) Ever heard of love at first sight? Try and follow them around to their classes, be that person who seems to be a ‘coincidence’ every where they go. It may click in their head that this could be fate!
4.) If you can’t seem to find them yourself, try and see if your friends will help you deliver the goodies you made for the special someone, or even keep tabs on them wherever they go. It’s a great time to have those friends to help you out and play a hand in being cupid. Your possible love will thank you in the end for it all.
All in all, maybe it is when love is in the air that finding the one for you is easiest. You could just be a subtle person and walk up to them and say, ‘I kinda like you, I would like to get to know you more.’ (But, where’s the fun in that? Dizziness draught or a love potion all the way!), Don’t be a cliche’ – give them something to remember you by.
